Job Description :

As an SDE I DevOps Engineer, your role involves overseeing and supporting our company’s day-to-day operations. This includes managing cloud migrations across various cloud platforms and testing proof-of-concepts to meet engineering team needs. You’ll collaborate with different teams to ensure operations run smoothly and services are delivered efficiently.

What you will do :

  • Handle day-to-day operations, making sure everything runs smoothly, fixing any problems, and ensuring systems are always up and running.
  • Lead projects to move applications and services from one cloud platform to another.
  • Work with engineering teams to figure out what they need and test new tools and technologies to help them work better.
  • Create and maintain scripts and tools that automate tasks to make things easier and faster.
  • Set up systems to automatically deploy applications in different environments.
  • Work with engineering teams to make sure our systems can handle a lot of users and don’t break down.
  • Keep an eye on system logs and performance data to find ways to make things run even better.
  • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in DevOps, cloud computing, and automating infrastructure.
  • Share the responsibility of being available to help out with any problems that might come up, taking turns with the team.

What you will need :

  • Good understanding of cloud platforms like Google Cloud.
  • Experience working with technologies that package software into containers (like Docker) and tools that manage those containers (like Kubernetes).
  • Proficiency in various programming and scripting languages such as Java, Python, Go, JavaScript, and Perl/Bash.
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices, along with tools like Jenkins, Git, and ArgoCD.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation, which help in managing and provisioning cloud resources.
  • Strong skills in solving problems related to infrastructure and systems, with a knack for troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
