What you’ll do:
- Creating, testing, and maintaining features in our products and services, focusing on databases, to ensure a secure environment for our customers using the cloud.
- Exploring new technologies and processes that can improve our service offerings.
- Documenting your experiences and sharing knowledge with others, while also providing mentorship to team members.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise :
- Experience: 0-2 years in software development.
- Skills: Good at programming with languages like Python or Go. Also familiar with Shell scripting languages such as Bash or Perl.
- Problem-Solving: Great at figuring out and solving problems.
- Best Practices: Knows about the best ways to design, develop, and test software.
- Databases: Understands SQL databases like Db2, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, or SQL Server.
- Virtualization and Containerization: Gets the basics of Virtualization and Containerization technologies.
- Docker and Kubernetes: Knows about Docker and Kubernetes frameworks for software development.
- Cloud Services: Familiarity with using Cloud Services like IBM Cloud, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
- Operating Systems: Knowledgeable about Linux/UNIX Operating Systems.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise :
- Familiarity with Compute, Storage and Networking components from IBM Cloud, AWS, Azure
- Familiarity with Red Hat OpenShift
- Familiarity with LogDNA/Sysdig/Prometheus for cluster analysis in a Kubernetes environment.
