Job Description:
- Applications are now open for the position of Consultant, Java Developer.
- As a Consultant in this role, you’ll spearhead Enhancement & Development services within a Backend/Database environment.
- You would be responsible for creating, testing, and maintaining Java applications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Write clean, well designed, and testable code, following coding standards and guidelines.
- Executing full lifecycle software development
- Deploy programs and evaluate user feedback.
- Comply with project plans and industry standards.
- Troubleshoot and debug complex issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
Qualifications at Genpact:
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
- Bachelors/master’s in computer science, Computer Engineering, or a similar field of study.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications/ Skills
- Proficiency in Java programming language and basic understanding of Python and scripting language is value added.
- Knowledge in various databases like DB2, oracle and No SQL family.
- Experience in Microservices architecture, spring family and ability to write JUnit.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies, principles, and best engineering practices is a value added.
- Experience in Dev Ops and release management process.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of projects from inception to completion.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attentions to details.
- Knowledge of financial industry is desirable but not essential.
